Geriatric Care
At Straus Family Health we would like to make the transition from Adult Care to Geriatric Care seamless. Allowing our patients the ability to keep the same doctor provides great comfort, as having such an intimate relationship with their provider from the start is reassuring.
Geriatric Healthcare is a specialized field dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centered care for older adults. The primary goal is to improve health, independence, and quality of life by addressing the unique conditions and challenges faced by the elderly population.
Geriatric patients often face a variety of age-related ailments due to the natural aging process. Some of the most common health conditions include Chronic Diseases, Cognitive Decline, Mobility Issues, Sensory Impairments, and Mental Health. Having a provider that understands the impact of an older individual’s life is beneficial in so many ways. We will put patient-centered care plans together and form interdisciplinary teams for those with needs. Our goal is not only to provide the healthcare needed but to help our patients live a long, healthy active life!
Straus Family Health will address not only medical needs, but the social needs as well support the emotional health of our patients. Community programs, recreational activities, mental health services and family involvement are all ways that can assist with that goal for a healthy aging community.
With multiple office locations our patients have the ability to choose which is closer to home, work or if need be, we have Telehealth Services. Our offices offer flexible hours, including evening and weekends. We look forward to welcoming you to our healthcare family!
